New York State Assembly and the New York State Senate!
Please act before Thursday , March 30, 2017.
In light of the Governor’s proposed budget and the intense response of other groups focusing on education issues, the NYSACTE Executive Board feels Career and Technical Education must state its position on the proposed budgets items. The issues we are asking you to address are clearly stated in the attached letter. This sample letter has been provided as a model for your own personalized letter or e-mail. Personalized letters are of course the best response, but if you only have time to add your information to these letters and e-mail then that is fine. Whatever you do please take action. If the multiple pathways initiative is to be implemented properly, CTE’s voice needs to be heard in order to have sufficient funding.
This is also a great way to remind the New York State Senate and Assembly how important CTE is to our students.
1. Read the attached letter to use as a sample.
2. Write or e-mail both your New York State Senator and your New York State Assembly Member using the letter. You may personalize it if you wish with a reason why the funds are important to students.
3. Make sure you insert all required personalized information.
4. If you don’t know who your NYS Senator or Assembly Member is:
